Hi Dave
Many thanks for your help and advice – and the museum tour. There are some odd light effects on these pics but I’m delighted with the result.

LAGONDA RAPIER 5/5/17
D Moroney Ltd. / David Moroney / David in producing a new swept front mudguard and associated repairs to my Lagonda has demonstrated an exemplary standard of skill and craftsmanship, working to a standard that is arguably better than the original. I cannot recommend him too highly.

Hi Dave
I thought you might like to see this short clip of Judy and me leaving our wedding reception in the Lagonda. The car looked superb and attracted a lot of admiring comments. Thanks so much for all your hard work and skill you put into making the new wings and other bits. Regarding the shock absorbers, the car rides so much better now and has certainly benefitted from the new “shocks”.
I am at Prescott for the 3 days next weekend, so if you are there come and say “hello”!
Best wishes, Simon Skelding
DELAHAYE 135 (Special) 26/1/13
Hi Dave
I hope all is well and a late Happy New Year to you. Apparently, the car won 1st prize at the Palos Verdes Concours honours in California. So we must have been doing something right!

Dear Dave
I hope things are ok with you.
As the Delahaye is now finished and has gone to the painter, I thought I would send you some pictures.
I have to say that nothing matches your work making the main body. Every person who has seen the car comment on the extraordinarily high-quality work you have done. Except for the wings which were well made., the good main body exposes the rest of the panelling as rather poor in comparison and if we ever decide to work together again I will insist on you doing the complete work no matter how long it will take.
Thank you again for the good job you did.
Kind regards
Ole

Austin 6/9/08
Dear “Sir”
Please take pleasure in finding the enclosed photograph of the Austin lorry I was restoring for T Richard Jones contractors etc of Ammanford. You can clearly see the bumper you made for it.
The photograph was taken when I returned to their yard having driven it to and from The All Wales Truck Show at Carmarthen. It was its first outing and got FIRST PRIZE for a vehicle over twenty-five years old. Thank you again. Now working on 1958 Morris commercial.
Kind regards

Frazer Nash (The Slug) 15/6/06
Dear Dave
I was so pleased to hear how well you have got on with the AC at the weekend. I cannot think of a better winner………
I have enclosed a cheque to cover the outstanding balance that I owe you for the excellent work that you have done on the Slug.
It sounds as though once Gavin has completed his work on the radiator we should not be too far away from completion. As I have said I would rather take a little more time to get the job absolutely right rather than cutting any corners as we reach the end of the job.
With all best wishes
Mr. S. Pryke
SQUIRE 14/10/03
Dear Dave
Just a note to thank you very much for all the hard work and thought that you have invested into the job – Jonathan was up here at the weekend and we pushed the car outside and looked at it from all angles. We were in complete agreement concerning the calibre of what you had achieved – we know the task was a challenge.
Talk to you soon
Kindest regards
Sincerely
Richard
BUCKER BU 133 JUNGMEISTER
RESTORE BY JIM HASLAM
TEXT FROM POPULAR FLYING MAGAZINE FEBRUARY 2001
Keith Talyes went to see Jim Haslam’s beautiful restoration and sent this report.
Acquired as a basket of bits, which excluded everything forward of the firewall, the Bucker Jungmeister has been totally restored by Jim Haslam over a period of four years.
The restoration was reasonably straightforward, only the fitting of the engine systems causing one or two anxious moments. Jim fitted an original Siemens 160hp radial engine, and contacted Dave Moroney to manufacture the engine panels, including the cowling, from samples loaned by Roger Reeves.
Such is Dave’s skill at re-shaping the sheet metal that he managed the job without any drawings. Dave’s superb handiwork contributes to a fine-looking and well-balanced aircraft.
G-BVXJ is the only UK Jungmeister to be painted in authentic Spanish Air Force training colours, the other UK examples representing either the Luftwaffe or Swiss Air Force machines. Jim thanks inspector Chris Turner for his help and guidance throughout the restoration.
Jim is no stranger to projects, having built a Rans S-10 Sakota. With that experience, and that gained on the Jungmeister, he feels well-qualified to tackle his next project, the restoration of a Bucker Jungmann.
